The IFSC has recently announced that they have signed a 3-year contract with “FloSPorts”, a live streaming company based out of the U.S. Viewing any IFSC events for the next few years will only be possible through a subscription to FloSports which will cost you 20$ a month or 150$ a year
Fit Rocks is Moncton’s newest and ONLY bouldering gym, and we were fortunate enough to get a sneak peek before opening day. Some of us set some routes, but mostly we just played around until we were completely tuckered.
Earlier in the week before the sickness set in, I went out to see the recently discovered boulder field near Mt. Doug in Welsford. We have quite the selection of prime sport/trad routes in New Brunswick, but not much for the likes of bouldering. We really have nothing to complain about though – we’re quite fortunate to have so many routes in our province and especially such a large percentage of them sitting only 45 minutes away from Fredericton. However, why not a little bouldering too?
The first v15 was established in 2000, followed of course by several v16s. Until Sunday, v17 has never been climbed which makes Nalle Hukkataival’s climb Burden of Dreams the first v17 in the world. Read more here at Rock and Ice Magazine.
