I feel that I have been posting sparsely lately and I do not like it one bit! I will spare you the excuses – they’re not that important anyway. But, incase you were wondering what I’ve been up all this time, here goes:
If you’ve never heard of Louis Parkinson, you probably don’t watch enough Epic TV. Louis is a professional climber based out of London, England who climbs and trains as much as he breaths. I, along with much of Atlantic Canada, had the pleasure of meeting him recently on his visit to Canada.
A group of us Canadians decided to spend two weeks in Red Rocks this past March. Neither of us had been there before so we got to explore and learn about the climbing areas together (blog post here). We had beautiful weather our entire visit, which made returning home kinda painful. Viva Las Vegas (and Red Rocks)!
The plan was to head to Bishop for the second part of our trip to Red Rocks, and when that fell through we needed another option. He had been to Joe’s once before after a conference in Salt Lake City, and raved about it years after. Since it was only 5 hours away, we rented a car for two days and drove with increasing excitement through the desert.
